Recently, many citizens taking the subway have discovered that the entrance and exit gates of Dongdan Station have changed. The iron fence door that originally required staff to push it open manually is gone, replaced by a 10-leaf folding door. The transparent glass and black metal frame look very fashionable. Once the operating hours are up, the door will slowly open automatically. When opened, it looks full of technology, and there is no need for staff to go to the gate and laboriously open the fence door.

According to him, this automatic folding door was specially developed for the characteristics of subway entrances and exits. . The smart door is equipped with a special camera to monitor the entrance and exit area, which can transmit the door operating status and people flow status to the computer in the central control room in real time, and can save one month of image records for staff to retrieve and playback. Through the remote call system, subway staff can have video conversations with people at the door in the central control room, remotely control the opening and closing of smart doors, and handle abnormal situations in a timely manner.

According to reports, the smart door project was first piloted at the four entrances D, E, F, and G of Dongdan Station of Metro Line 5. At present, the smart doors at entrances D, E, and F have been installed, and G The entrance will also be renovated in the near future, when the smart door will be officially put into use. This is the first time Beijing Subway has introduced smart door technology, and it is expected to be promoted in subway stations across the city.
