It is reported that BOREAS is currently the most automated wind power installation ship, built by CIMC Raffles for a Dutch company. The ship has a length of 176 meters, a width of 63 meters, a maximum working water depth of 80 meters, a maximum lifting capacity of 55,000 tons, a deck area of ​​over 7,000 square meters, a main crane lifting capacity of 3,310 tons, a boom height of 155 meters, and the ability to install a 25-megawatt Offshore wind turbines rank first among similar products in many key indicators.

It is worth mentioning that in order to meet clean and environmentally friendly emission requirements, the ship is equipped with methanol storage tanks and 5 methanol dual-fuel main engines, which can reduce the ship\’s carbon footprint by more than 78%.

At present, the global wind power industry is in a period of rapid growth. After delivery, BOREAS will be used to transport and install next-generation offshore wind turbines in European offshore wind power projects. (End)
