On the afternoon of November 28, the Guangzhou Marathon Organizing Committee held a press conference to introduce the preparations for the event. The Guangzhou Marathon finishing medals and competition clothing were unveiled for the first time at the meeting.

The marathon (42.195 kilometers) event has an event size of 26,000 people. The race route is set along \”one river and two banks\”. The starting point of the marathon is at Tianhe Sports Center, and the finishing arch is set at the Avenue of Stars in Haixinsha Asian Games Park. The game will start in separate shots, with the first shot starting at 7:30 and the second shot starting at 7:50.

Lin Yanfen, deputy director of the Guangzhou Marathon Organizing Committee, said that this time the Guangzhou Marathon runners will have more diverse materials and supplies along the way. At the press conference, the organizing committee officially announced four publicity ambassadors for the 2024 Guangzhou Marathon: Jiang Minxi (\”Smiling Sword Queen\”), a famous female fencer from Hong Kong, China and the women\’s epee champion of the Paris Olympics. 5000 meters and 1000 0-meter Olympic champion and famous Ethiopian track and field athlete Kenenisa Bekele, badminton world champion, Paris Olympic silver medalist and Guangzhou athlete Liang Weikeng, founder of Hurun Report, chairman and chief research officer of Hurun Report Hurun.
