The end of the year is approaching, and it is another good time of year.

Red Spring Festival couplets are hung in front of every house.

A pair of couplets not only embodies our infinite yearning for a better life, but also contains five thousand years of Chinese wisdom.

The following 8 divine couplets can be called classics among classics, and you can enjoy them together.

01

First line: if If you don’t put it aside, you will always be miserable

Second line: Everyone will become famous if they hold back

Horizontal comment: Putting aside life

This is a split word couplet, the word \”ruo\” is the word \”俿\”, if not left out, it is the word \”bitter\”; \” The \”丶\” in the character \”ge\”, if kept, becomes the character \”name\”.

There are two strokes in the human character, one is written to let go:

Things that are powerless should be cut off; lingering obsessions should be given up; feelings that are destined but not shared should be separated.

Just stick to it:

Keep the bottom line when changing cups, stick to the original intention in the hustle and bustle, stick to the principles before materialistic desires flow.

It is also a kind of wisdom in life not to care, not to compare, not to follow blindly.

The world of mortals is rolling, and if you don’t put it aside and restrain it in time, you will only suffer.

Water without two ends cannot become ice. Only by skimming and stroking can one become a human being.

Only by letting go of desires and holding on to the bottom line can you live a good \”human\” life.

02

First line: I only have a few pennies, please beg for it,

He also begged, who should I give it to

The second line: Don’t do anything, Worship to me,

Xiye worships and makes things difficult for me

Someone was in trouble and went to pray to the God of Wealth, only to find that there was a man who looked very much like the God of Wealth in the Temple of Wealth. He was also kneeling to worship.

As he approached, he discovered that the man was the God of Wealth himself.

He asked in confusion: “Why do you want to worship yourself? \”

The God of Wealth smiled and said: \”My pocket has been tight lately, but I know that it is better to ask for yourself than to ask for help from others. ”

Everyone has their own difficulties in life. How lucky it is to meet a noble person to help.

But if you can’t meet a noble person, you must be your own noble person.

It’s better to wait for the wind to come If you chase the wind, you will fall if you rely on others. Only by being strong can you calmly face the wind and rain.

Heaven will not help you, but you will have to help yourself. , the breeze comes.

8 of the wisest couplets in China over the past five thousand years, which describe life

03

First line: Laughter The past laughs at the present, laughs from east to west, from south to north,

Laughs here and there, laughing at one’s own ignorance >

Second line: Observe things, observe the sky, the earth, the sun and the moon,

There is always something to be said for observing up, down, and others. High and low

Su Dongpo once visited Wang Anshi. In his study, he saw an unfinished poem:

\”The west wind passed through the garden last night, blowing down the yellow flowers and covering the ground with gold.\”

Su Dongpo laughed and said at that time, how could a prime minister not know that the yellow flowers withered but did not fall? Oh, I picked up my pen and wrote two sentences:

\”Autumn flowers fall no better than spring flowers, so I told the poet to chant carefully.\”

Then he walked away.

Later, Su Dongpo was demoted to Huangzhou. A friend invited him to enjoy the flowers and drink. He saw chrysanthemum petals all over the ground in the garden and asked in surprise: \”Chrysanthemums don\’t fall off their petals.\” \”?\”

The friend said: \”The chrysanthemums in other places do not fall off, but the chrysanthemums in Huangzhou do.\”

Su Dongpo couldn\’t help but feel excited after hearing this. Laughing, I suddenly realized that I was ignorant!

Our cognition is like a besieged city. People trapped inside cannot see the outside world clearly.

Many times, the truth we firmly believe may be wrong.

So every time before evaluating others, learn to examine yourself first.

04

First couplet: He Wuji, Wei Wuji,

The eldest grandson is Wuji, he is Wuji, you are also Wuji

Second couplet: Zhang Xiangru, Lin Xiangru,

Sima Xiangru, named Xiangru, but not really Xiangru

The little prodigy Yu Qian went to Beijing to take the exam when he was 14 years old, and happened to meet The examiner who arrived was also named Yu Qian, which sounded the same as him.

When roll call came, the examiner called \”Yu Qian\” three times, but no one answered.

The examiner asked him why he did not answer, and he said: \”I have the same name as the examiner, so I dare not answer.\”

The examiner smiled and said: \”He Wuji, Wei Wuji, The eldest grandson is Wuji, he is Wuji, and you are also Wuji.\”

He Wuji, Wei.Wuji and Changsun Wuji, these three historical celebrities have no taboos, so you don\’t have to be taboos either.

After hearing this, Yu Qian replied calmly: \”Zhang Xiangru, Lin Xiangru, and Sima Xiangru are similar in name, but not in reality.\”

Although Zhang Xiangru, Lin Xiangru, and Sima Xiangru are not the same. For example, my name is Xiangru, but in fact, I am far behind you!

Once these two sentences were spread, they became a legend.

The valuable thing about the examiner Yu Qian is that although he holds a high position, he can treat others with humility.

The quality of candidate Yu Qian is that he can always remain humble in front of the teacher.

\”The Book of Changes\” says: \”A humble gentleman is humble enough to feed himself.\”

The last thing a person should have is a sense of identity, and the most important thing should be preserved. It is a humble heart.

8 of the wisest couplets in China over the past five thousand years, which describe life

05

First line: Life How can we have more wishes?

Second line: Everything is only half-satisfactory

This is hanging in Hangzhou There is a couplet in Lingyin Temple, just two sentences, but it has infinite meaning.

Nine times out of ten things go wrong in life, and no one’s life goes smoothly.

Compared with perfection, shortcomings may be the normal state of life.

As Jiang Xun said:

\”No matter how you live, there will be regrets. The key lies in how you understand.\”

Since everything can\’t go as you wish, it\’s better to learn to let go slowly.

For the rest of my life, I hope you and I can cultivate ourselves over the years and not be happy with things or sad with ourselves.

I hope you and I will stop complaining, look down upon the ups and downs in life, and smile at the joys and sorrows in life.

06

First line: No need is peace of mind

Second line: Not full is true Prescriptions for Quebing

\”Xunzi·Lun on Rites\” says: \”Human beings are born with desires, and if they don\’t get them, they have to ask for them.\”

Life is not bitter. , the bitter thing is having too high expectations and getting too little.

The human heart is not tired at all. What is tired is that it is hard to satisfy its desires and is never satisfied.

The world is complicated, and it is difficult to satisfy the desires; the desires are insatiable, and the demands are endless.

Nothing is too much, and moderation is the best way to maintain good health.

You will be 70% full after eating and 70% drunk after drinking wine.

Restraining material desires is for spiritual enrichment; controlling appetite is for physical health.

Don’t pursue too much and restrain your desires. This is the way to happiness.

8 of the wisest couplets in China over the past five thousand years, which describe life

07

First line: Send A high wish, a middle fate, and a low blessing

Second couplet: Choose a high place to stand, find a flat place to live, and walk to a wide place

This couplet comes from Zuo Zongtang, a famous general in the late Qing Dynasty.

The first couplet says that we must have lofty ambitions, adapt to the circumstances of life, and enjoy an ordinary life;

The second couplet says that we must be far-sighted in doing things, be down-to-earth, and leave something for others. leeway.

Vision determines the pattern, and the pattern determines the outcome. Only by standing high can we see far.

But just having lofty ambitions is not enough, it also requires down-to-earth perseverance and perseverance.

If you raise your head, you can look up at the stars; if you keep your head down, you can focus on your journey.

Look at the top, middle and bottom, and look at the high and flat areas., width, think of the bottom when you are on top, look for width when you stand high.

With such a pattern, only when faced with complex situations can we remain calm and deal with them calmly.

No matter good times or bad times, you can both create and maintain your merits.

08

First line: The bird is in a cage, I hate that Guan Yu cannot fly

strong>

Second line: In this world, if you want the Eight Precepts, you need to be enlightened

Rousseau once said: \”Man is born free, but he is always in chains.\”

Sometimes we feel like a caged bird, trapped and shackled, unable to spread its wings and fly.

As everyone knows, some burdens are imposed on themselves.

The more desires a person has, the heavier the burden will be on him, just like shackles on his feet, making it difficult to move even an inch.

How to relieve worries? Only practice.

Buddha said: \”The fatigue of life and death starts from greed. If you have few desires and do nothing, your body and mind will be at ease.\”

Life is really hard, and the world of mortals is a field of Shura and Taoism.

You must have the courage of \”Bajie\” and the wisdom of \”Wukong\”.

Get rid of the material desires that linger in your heart, see the world clearly, and be indifferent to gains and losses.

Only by doing subtraction for the soul and clearing away unnecessary shackles and baggage in a timely manner can we feel at ease physically and mentally and feel refreshed.
