On the same day, the pouring of the lower beam of the east main pier of the main bridge across Modaomen Waterway, a key project of the Shenjiang Railway undertaken by China Railway Construction Bridge Bureau, was completed. The bridge spans the Modaomen Waterway of the Xijiang River at the junction of Zhongshan and Jiangmen cities. The main bridge is a 140-meter-high pier long-span cable-stayed bridge, which is constructed using an intelligent tower crane.
The Shenjiang Railway is an important part of my country\’s \”eight vertical and eight horizontal\” high-speed rail network coastal corridors. The line starts from Xili Station in Shenzhen. The main line is 116 kilometers long. It crosses the Pearl River Estuary and connects Shenzhen, Dongguan, 5 cities including Guangzhou, Zhongshan and Jiangmen. After the completion of the project, Shenzhen and Jiangmen can be connected within one hour, and Shenzhen and Guangzhou Nansha Free Trade Area can be connected by high-speed rail in half an hour.
